akt is the only national charity dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ young people across
the UK who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, or living in a hostile
environment. Unlike their heterosexual or cisgender counterparts, LGBTQ+ young
people are still finding themselves homeless, just because of their identity. Statistics
reveal that 24% of homeless individuals aged 16-25 identify as LGBTQ+.
We offer a range of essential services to LGBTQ+ youth, including:
