Action on Pre-eclampsia raises public and professional awareness of pre-eclampsia, a potentially fatal disease of pregnancy which kills 6-8 women a year and 1200 babies in the UK alone.

The charity improves care and eases physical and emotional suffering caused by pre-eclampsia, a disease of pregnancy. We do this in several ways: we provide information and support to members of the public who are affected by pre-eclampsia and educational resources for all health professionals such as midwives who work with pregnant women. Our expert training courses create skilled and confident professionals who can confidently and accurately diagnose and safely manage women with of pre-eclampsia.
