Working Chance

Unlocking Women's Potential

We are Working Chance - the UK's only employment charity solely for women with convictions. We provide specialist employability support that is tailored to each woman, for as long as it's needed - helping them to find jobs, work experience or education and training opportunities.

The women that we support face multiple challenges to rebuild their lives and find jobs after a conviction, including trauma, mental health difficulties, stigma and poverty. Employment plays a key role in helping women to rebuild their lives and we work tirelessly to make sure that every woman can find the right opportunity that suits their skills, needs and interests. Since 2009, we have supported thousands of women into employment, providing a future where she and her family can flourish.

“Working Chance made me realise that I am a valuable member of society, that I am worthy of a career and that I have the necessary skills and experience to find meaningful employment.” Hannah, Working Chance client.

The demand for our work is increasing, and we currently have a waiting list of women who need our support. By taking on a challenge for Working Chance, you'll be helping us to reach more women so that they can rebuild their lives through employment for themselves and their families.

How Your Support Helps

By taking on a challenge for Working Chance, this is the impact you'll have:
  • You will be helping us to reach more women so that we can be there for everyone who needs us.
  • You will be helping us continue to provide personalised employment support tailored to each woman, designed to help her find the right opportunity where she can thrive.
  • You will be part of a powerful community of allies who stand together with the women that we support every day.
  • We'll be here to provide lots of support and encouragement and to tell you about the impact your fundraising has had.
And this is the phenomenal difference your support could make:
  • £150 could provide 6 women with specialist support on disclosing their convictions to employers
  • £300 could support one woman to find a placement that suits her skills and interests
  • £1,475 could fund one woman's journey through our full employability support service, helping her to rebuild her life after a conviction
