Little Hiccups is a Leeds-based charity dedicated to supporting families who have children with additional needs and disabilities. We understand that while the journey of raising a child with a disability is filled with unique joys, it can also bring feelings of isolation and significant challenges. Our mission is to ensure that no family in our community has to navigate that path alone.
We believe in inclusion without barriers. We strive to create a "home away from home" where children are celebrated for their individuality and parents find a network of peers who truly "get it." By focusing on the whole family, we help build resilience, friendships, and lasting memories.
Accessible Stay and Play Sessions: Weekly opportunities for children to engage in sensory-rich play while parents and carers connect over a coffee and shared experiences.
Inclusive Family Events: From hydrotherapy sessions to large-scale parties and outings, we provide safe spaces where accessibility is guaranteed and judgement is left at the door.
Peer Support & Wellbeing: We offer a vital emotional safety net, providing parents with a space to talk, share advice, and recharge.
Outreach & Information:
At Little Hiccups, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to play, laugh, and explore—and every parent deserves a supportive community that truly understands. Based in Leeds, we provide a vital lifeline for families navigating the joys and challenges of raising a child with additional needs.
Raising a child with a disability can sometimes feel like a lonely journey. We are here to change that. Your donations allow us to provide:
Inclusive Family Fun Days: Creating safe, accessible environments where children can be themselves without judgement.
Stay and Play Sessions: Essential opportunities for children to socialise and for parents to find peer support and a listening ear.
Life-Changing Equipment: Helping families access the tools they need to improve their child's quality of life.
Every penny raised stays right here in our community, ensuring that no family has to face their journey alone.
