Home-Start is a family support charity, helping families with young children deal with whatever life throws at them. Starting in the home, our approach is as individual as the people we are helping. No judgement, it’s just compassionate, confidential help and expert support. Home-Start volunteers don’t just support parents to cope, but to feel confident to thrive in creating the best possible start for their children.

Home-Start is reaching over 50,000 children and 25,000 families in the UK. We help families who are close to breaking point because of isolation, bereavement, illness, mental health issues, financial insecurity and more.
Those precious early years of a child’s life lay the foundations of virtually every aspect of human development - affecting how healthy and happy we are, our life chances and even how long we live.
