Groundwork UK

Groundwork is a national charity, delivering projects in areas where we can make the most impact, with people who are facing multiple challenges and in places that are lacking social infrastructure and economic opportunities.

We help people get jobs and support the growth of the green economy; reduce the waste of energy, food and water; create and maintain biodiverse, accessible green spaces; support businesses to be more successful and responsible; and empower communities to take action to improve their health and wellbeing and the local and global environment.

Current projects include:

Green Doctor – our trained energy efficiency experts visit people in their homes to offer free, impartial advice for those struggling with their bills and help them to save energy, resolve billing issues and access other community services.

Green Community Hubs – vibrant hubs which bring communities together and make nature accessible for everyone whilst providing essential social services like educational workshops, health and housing support, and a welcoming space to connect with others.

Wellies in the Woods – bringing outdoor play and learning to young children and their families in communities in need of extra provision. We help to build children’s confidence, improve early development and form a lasting connection with nature.
