Dementia Adventure

Dementia Adventure is a UK-based charity founded in 2009. We believe in thinking differently about dementia, taking a positive approach that focuses on the individual rather than the condition. We look at what people can do, not what they can’t, concentrating on ‘the possible’. A key part of our work is supporting people to get out into nature, experiencing the wellbeing benefits of the outdoors through supported holidays, day trips and adventures. We also provide research-informed training. With the right support, people can stay active, connected, independent for longer, and valued members of their communities.

How Your Support Helps

Fundraising is vital to the work of Dementia Adventure, enabling us to continue providing life-enhancing experiences and support for people living with dementia and their families. As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity of donors, partners, and supporters to sustain and grow our services. It costs over £1 million per year to run all of our programmes, from supported holidays and Green Letter Days to carer and professionals training that promote connection, confidence, and wellbeing. Every pound raised helps us reach more people, reduce isolation, and ensure that those affected by dementia can continue to enjoy meaningful adventures and improved quality of life.
