Supporting families living with Williams Syndrome
Williams Syndrome is a rare, randomly occurring genetic condition affecting around 1 in 18,000 people in the UK. It can cause a wide range of challenges, including heart conditions, physical and mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, and sensory, behavioural, social and processing differences.
The Williams Syndrome Foundation is the only charity in the UK that supports individuals affected by Williams Syndrome and their families. We provide vital support through funding research, creating resources for parents, carers, healthcare and educational professionals, organising regional family events, and offering respite breaks.
We help families stay connected and supported through online support groups, regional events, magazines, social media and our National Family Convention held roughly every three years.
As a charity that relies almost entirely on donations and voluntary fundraising, every contribution makes a real difference.

How Your Support Helps
We do not receive any government funding. Over 80% of our income is raised by our members, their family, friends and workplaces.
£20 pays for a new member pack.
£50 pays for a family to join one of our WSF Christmas Parties, held across the UK.
£300 pays for an eduaction assessment, informing school support.
£700 pays for a family to attend our weekend family convention in Butlin's (held every 3-5yrs).
£1000 pays for a teenager with WS (supported by a parent) to attend a 4day activity break with their peers.
£1400 pays for an adult to have a week long supported activity holiday (and for their family to have a week's respite break).
