Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire supports vulnerable families who have at least one child aged 5 years or under (but they may have older children too) across South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse.
Parenting during the earliest years of a child’s life is hard, especially if you’re also experiencing difficult times such as low mental wellbeing, financial strains, disability, feeling isolated in a new town/village without a support network. Its times like these that it helps to have someone to turn to. Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire offers free compassionate, non-judgemental, confidential support to families in their own homes and at our support groups.
We would love for you to join our #HomeStartHeroes team!
By registering to take part in an event and fundraising for us, you'll be helping us continue to be there for children in their early, most impactful years, supporting families in the ways they need to help them thrive, feel connected to their community and improve their future outcomes!
By taking part in an event for Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire, you'll be making a real difference to lives of local families across South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse.
“My volunteer is absolutely amazing!! She has helped me leave the house, access medical services and food banks, which I would never of done by myself! Before, I literally didn’t leave the house. I even got my food shopping delivered. I didn’t even go in my own garden! Now I do go to the shop and for a walk with the children by myself. And we are always in the garden :) My mental health is still pretty awful but with the help of Home-Start, I have actually contacted the medical centre to start getting it sorted. I’m very appreciative of the help they have all given me” – Mum supported by one of our home-visiting volunteers
