The HeartCells Foundation is a pioneering UK charity committed to transforming the treatment of heart failure. We support and enable access to advanced regenerative therapies designed to repair damaged heart tissue — offering hope where traditional treatments have nothing further to add.

The charity funds the Compassionate Treatment Programme headed by Professor Anthony Mathur at St Bartholomew’s Hospital treating patients with their own Stem Cells to repair their damaged heart. This is the first unit of its kind in Europe.

Our aim is to move from 'clinically proven' to 'approved practice' and from 'limited access' to 'available to all'.

Through our Compassionate Cardiac Stem Cell Unit, patients are gaining access to innovative therapies that are already delivering meaningful improvements in symptoms, quality of life, and, perhaps most importantly, renewed hope for the future.

Over the past 20 years, we have built a world-leading foundation of clinical expertise and evidence through our research programmes and compassionate treatment initiatives. Thanks to this progress, we are now preparing for the next critical milestone: a definitive Phase III clinical trial.

This final stage is essential to securing regulatory approval and bringing stem cell therapy closer to routine NHS care, making it available to thousands more patients who could benefit.

If the minimum fundraising target is not reached, HeartCells Foundation reserves the right to charge you the full cost of your event place (rather than the discounted entry fee shown below), as well as any reasonable administrative costs incurred.
