The Principality Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in Europe. It is Wales’ largest mass-participation and multi-charity fundraising event and the second largest half in the UK. Its flat, fast course passes all the city’s most breath-taking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay. Thousands of spectators turn out to cheer on the runners in a city renowned for its sporting passion.
We’re the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we’re taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling shit, standing up to stereotypes and standing together to show life is always worth living. 125 lives are lost every week to suicide. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. We exist to change this. We do it by provoking conversation, running life-saving services, and bringing people together so they reject living miserably, get help when they need it and don’t die by suicide.
