Being diagnosed and living with a thyroid disorder can have a big impact on your life. We provide information and support to help people in the UK better understand and manage their thyroid condition. All our work is developed with the input of medical professionals and patients to ensure it is evidence-based. We also fund vital research into thyroid disease. We are also determined to raise the profile of thyroid disorders. Despite affecting up to 1 in 20 people in the UK, understanding of how they can affect both our physical and psychological wellbeing is low. So we work to raise awareness of thyroid disorders to ensure people recognise symptoms and seek prompt medical treatment.
