There are over eight million people living with a skin disease in the UK. With over 2,000 known skin diseases, an issue with the skin is the most common reason for people visiting their GP. Skin disease doesn't just affect the skin. It can have a huge impact on a person’s day-to-day life, crush self-confidence, restrict movement, lead to depression and put a huge strain on families as well as personal relationships. The British Skin Foundation believes that research is the key to beating skin disease and skin cancer.
