Abortion Support Network

Abortion Support Network provides information, financial assistance and accommodation to people travelling to access an abortion in Europe. We are a small charity, powered by volunteers, and we believe that “I can’t afford an abortion” should never be the only reason that someone becomes a parent.

Every year we are contacted by around 1,000 people, mainly from Ireland, Poland, France and Malta. Since 2009 we have helped over 9,000 access a safe abortion. ASN is a member of the Abortion Without Borders network, which has collectively helped more than 100,000 people in Poland to get an abortion since its launch in 2019.

There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ ASN client, but the people who contact us generally need support with booking appointments in clinics in Europe, arranging travel and accommodation, and paying privately for the costs – which range from £400-£4,000 depending on the procedure. We don’t ask how clients became pregnant or why they want an abortion, we just ask how we can help.
