Line up for a summer evening of road-closed racing on the Newcastle Quayside. With 5K and 10K options, this event pairs PB-friendly terrain with an iconic waterfront backdrop. Expect smooth organisation, energetic crowds, and a lively finish beside the River Tyne.

Both distances follow a scenic out-and-back along the Quayside, passing the Swing Bridge and running beneath the High Level Bridge, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, King Edward VII Bridge, and Redheugh Bridge. Enjoy views of the Tyne Bridge, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, and cultural landmarks like The Glasshouse and the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art before a memorable finish by the Millennium Bridge. 

The Quayside 5K forms part of our Top Flight Race Series. It attracts some of the UK’s leading athletes and creates a fantastic racing spectacle, while remaining accessible for club runners and first-timers alike.
