YMCA Downslink Group

We are the largest regional charity in Sussex and Surrey working to prevent youth homelessness and support children and young people’s emotional and mental health. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.  

Our specialist services help children and young people feel safer, be more independent, advocate for themselves, develop life skills and self-confidence, and improve their emotional wellbeing and mental health.  

A total of 20% of all homeless people in the UK are aged between 16 and 24. Every night YMCA DownsLink Group gives a safe home to around 570 young people facing homelessness in Sussex and Surrey.

 With your help, we positively impact the lives of about 6,000 children, young people and families each year, helping give them the skills they need to create a brighter, independent, future.
