We are the national young carers' charity.
Honeypot is the only charity in the UK that provides continuous support for young carers aged 5-12. Our countryside respite breaks, and range of support services give young carers, with responsibilities beyond their years, the chance to be a child again – because you only get one chance of a happy, fulfilling childhood.
As a direct response to Covid-19, we have enhanced our service offering and significantly increased our online presence. Our new Wrap-Round service includes a digital outreach and inclusion programme, multi-day online creative workshops, and a wellbeing fund to support children from deprived backgrounds with life essentials such as a washing machine or school kit. Through this combination of services, we are able to support young carers based on their particular needs and situation at home, and include children are who are based remotely or who could previously not participate in our services for other reasons.
We support our young carers continuously over several years, rather than as a one-off activity. This allows Honeypot children to build a trusted relationship with us and stay in touch with other children who share a similar experience.
Every year, we are able to reach over 1,500 young carers and vulnerable children in the UK. All our services are completely free for every child we support.
