The Anne Robson Trust

No one should have to die alone.
We provide emotional support to people facing the end of life - whether they have a terminal diagnosis themselves, or care for a friend or family member.

1) Hospital volunteer visitors - We work alongside NHS hospitals to set up and run teams of volunteers to visit patients at the end of their life. Volunteers talk to patients, hold their hand, sit in silence, read to them, and sometimes even sing together.

2) Phone support service - We provide emotional support and signposting to people with a terminal diagnosis, or who are caring for a family member or friend who is dying.

“Thanks for being there for my grandpa as he passed away. It means the world to me that he had the comfort of someone by his side.” – Izzy.

A hand to hold. A listening ear. The presence of another person - These simple things become invaluable in the final days and hours of life.

Thank you for considering running for the Anne Robson Trust. The money you raise will help ensure more people receive the support they need at the end of their life.

  • £5 could pay for a bedside visit for a person dying in hospital.
  • £10 could enable a call supporting someone who has a terminal diagnosis.
  • £20 could help train volunteers to comfort someone who is dying.
