Take Her Lead

Take Her Lead is a UK registered charity. We were founded in 2022, by former England Cricketer and now Broadcaster Isa Guha MBE, who founded the charity in memory of her Mum, Roma. Isa always talks about her own journey in cricket and how she wanted to give up many times, and if it wasn't for her mum, who always had her back, she wouldn't have got to where she did and had all the experiences in the sport she has had. The essense of the chanity's mission is to make sure every women and girl in cricket feels like someone has their back and that they feel like they belong in the sport. We do this through our core pillars of work - empower, amplify and connect which all our programmes sit under. Our flagship programme is the THL Champions Programme which connects young girls, aged 10-16 from under-represented and minority groups at free-to-access cricket sessions, with inspirational female role models in cricket. Our THL Champions are elite and semi-elite female cricketers, or coaches and activators and they deliver workshops and activities focused on developing mental strength and social skills. Our THL Women's Network is for women (16+) working part-time or volunteering across cricket's recreational game, providing a safe space to share experiences, communicate ideas and connect with peers. We run webinars, inviting guest speakers and run workshops on topics to support the worksforce in recreational cricket that is growing the game for women & girls. We also run competitions to give insprirational experiences in high performance and broadcasting for women & girls and partner with other organisations on programmes that provide equity and inclusion.
