London Youth

Together, we can create better futures for young Londoners.

London’s children and young people matter. They deserve every chance to make the most of their lives. But in a city of extremes, where wealth and opportunity often feel out of reach, too many young Londoners are being
left behind.

One in three lives in poverty. The cost-of-living crisis, combined with a lack of opportunity, is pushing them to the margins. The emotional toll on their mental health and wellbeing has never been greater. At a time when they need support the most, youth services in the capital are under threat – and the safety nets that should catch them are wearing thin. They only get one chance at growing up. Together, we have to get it right.

Youth work gives young people hope. It’s not just about having fun – it can open doors to a better future, and for some children, it’s a lifeline. It helps build confidence, creates purpose, and offers a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and supported.

That’s why at London Youth, we work to ensure every young Londoner can access great youth work. We support youth workers – the trusted adults quietly transforming lives – by giving them the training, tools and resources they need.
We also create opportunities for young people to learn new skills and overcome the barriers they face.
