Harry’s Hydrocephalus Awareness Trust (Harry’s HAT)

Here for families affected by hydrocephalus

Harry's Hydrocephalus Awareness Trust (Harry's HAT) is a small, family‑led UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of children living with hydrocephalus, and the families that love and care for them.

This life‑threatening condition - often referred to as “water on the brain” - is the most common reason for brain surgery in children. It affects around 1 in every 770 babies in the UK, and although treatments exist, there is currently no cure.

 We achieve our mission by:

  • Raising awareness of the condition within both community and medical settings.
  • Funding front-line workers to learn more about hydrocephalus and enhance care
  • Connecting & supporting families.
  • Campaiging for early diagnosis through our Get-A-Head campaign
