EPIC Charity - Bristol

Hundreds of children and young people in Bristol are growing up in care - and too many miss out on the experiences that build confidence, wellbeing and a sense of possibility.

EPIC is a small Bristol charity providing £500 experience‑based grants for care‑experienced children and young people. These grants fund things like driving lessons, bikes, sports equipment, day trips and hobbies that help young people feel valued by giving them access to opportunities they might otherwise miss out on.

These aren’t luxuries. They’re the moments that can help shape who we become.

With over 1,700 children in care and care leavers in Bristol, the need is real - and the impact is lasting. A single opportunity can boost confidence, reduce loneliness and help a young person believe in their future.

“J really enjoyed his young driver lessons. He wants to be in the police and thought learning to drive early would be great. He had a massive smile on his face when he told me about it. It was lovely to be able to fund something to enrich his life.”
