Edinburgh Food Project

More than just a foodbank

Edinburgh Food Project is an independent charity that operates seven foodbanks across the city. We provide emergency food parcels that cover three nutritious meals for three days to people who simply do not have enough money to live on.
As a charity, however, we are more than our foodbanks and what we offer goes further than just pasta and beans.
We want to reduce the need for foodbanks in Edinburgh.
We believe that foodbank use should be rare, short-term, and always accompanied by support and advice. Edinburgh Food Project also run a FCA Accredited Money Advice Service. This service supports people to move out of crisis through a cash first approach, giving advice on benefits, budgeting, and debt management, ensuring people can access their full entitlements and grow in confidence managing their finances.
We want to help people move away from immediate need and out of poverty for good.
