For nearly 40 years, Cornerhouse has been at the heart of communities across Hull and East Yorkshire, evolving to meet the changing needs of local young people and families. Every day, we help young people build brighter, healthier futures by providing the support, knowledge and confidence they need to thrive.
At the core of our work is a commitment to helping young people develop healthy relationships, make informed choices, and stay safe from exploitation and harm. We empower them to build resilience, understand and manage their emotions, and grow in confidence as they explore who they are, including their sexual orientation and gender identity. We also work closely with parents and carers, helping them strengthen family relationships and have open, informed conversations that support their young people.
Our services reach young people where they need us most, through one-to-one support, street-based youth outreach, group programmes, education and training. We also provide specialist learning opportunities for parents, carers and professionals on topics relating to health, wellbeing and relationships.
Everything we do is grounded in a trauma-informed approach that recognises the unique experiences of every young person. We believe in their potential, celebrate their strengths, and support them to take positive steps towards a happier, healthier future.
By running for Cornerhouse, you're not just taking on a personal challenge. You're helping young people across Hull and East Yorkshire access life-changing support, discover their potential, and create brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Every mile you run makes a difference.
