Cambridgeshire Deaf Association

Empowering Deaf and hard-of-hearing people to live without barriers

Cambridgeshire Deaf Association (CDA) has supported and empowered Deaf people, and those with hearing loss, across Cambridgeshire for over 100 years.

Most of our team are Deaf or have hearing loss, giving us a deep understanding of the challenges people face every day. Many essential services from healthcare and benefits to safety and wellbeing aren’t always accessible in British Sign Language (BSL), which can leave people isolated and unheard.

CDA provides advocacy, care and social support to ensure Deaf and hard-of-hearing people can live independently and confidently. Our specialist Hearing Help team supports those with hearing loss through hearing aid maintenance, lip-reading classes and friendly social groups that build confidence and connection.

We also partner with local organisations to improve accessibility and deliver Deaf awareness training, helping to create more inclusive communities.

By running for CDA, you’ll be supporting vital services that break down communication barriers and ensure Deaf and hard-of-hearing people can thrive, connect and live life without limits.
